Sustainability requires concrete actions. That's why we conducted an emissions inventory for all our operations and calculated the carbon footprint of Woodnotes' 2021 operations based on to the GHG Protocol. ..Vastuullisuus vaatii konkreettisia tekoja. Siksi teetimme päästöinventaarion kaikesta toiminnastamme ja laskimme Woodnotesin vuoden 2021 toiminnan hiilijalanjäljen GHG-protokollan mukaisesti.
Our aim was to gain a clear understanding of our emission sources so that we can improve and develop our operations. Our emissions for 2021 as a whole were 1,046 tonnes of CO2e, equivalent to the average yearly emissions of about 105 Finns. Our largest source of emissions is raw materials (59%), of which wool is by far the largest (74%) as this includes the entire life cycle of the sheep. ..Tavoitteenamme oli luoda selkeä käsitys päästölähteistämme, jotta voimme parantaa ja kehittää toimintaamme. Koko vuoden 2021 päästömme olivat 1046 t CO2e, joka vastaa noin 105 suomalaisen keskipäästöjä vuodessa. Suurin päästölähteemme ovat raaka-aineet (59 %), joista villa aiheuttaa selkeästi eniten päästöjä (74 %), sillä siihen lasketaan lampaan koko elinkaari.

The life cycle emissions of a paper yarn carpet without backing are 13.44 kg of CO2e per m2 and 19.92 kg of CO2e per m2 for a paper yarn carpet with backing. ..Pohjaamattoman paperinarumaton päästöt neliömetriä (m2) kohden koko elinkaareltaan ovat 13,44 kg CO2e, pohjatun 19,92 kg CO2e.
Following the results of the emissions report, we’ll continue to develop and monitor our packaging materials and their quantities, for example.
