The art of manufacturing
All our production takes place in Finland. Since we handle everything -ourselves, product development is straightforward.
It all starts with paper
Everything begins with wet-strength kraft paper, made from the coniferous trees of the northern forests.
Paper becomes yarn
First, the paper yarn is spun, and then part of it is dyed. All of this takes place in Lapua. A small portion of the yarn is sent at this stage to Joensuu for printing.
Finnish craftsmanship
The carpets are woven in Lapua. All of our art textiles are also handmade there.

Finishing in the sewing workshop
Finished rugs are sent to the sewing workshop, where they are cut to size, finished, and packed.

What does a paper yarn carpet feel like?
Paper yarn feels cool underfoot in summer and warm in winter. As a natural fiber, it responds to the temperature and humidity of the room.
