A material innovation
Paper yarn is smooth and strong. It wears well and ages with natural beauty.
Durable in use
Our carpets are made from wet-strength kraft paper, which is both water-resistant and extremely strong.
Many options
Our collection is extensive. You can order carpets in custom lengths and choose from eight different finishes. You can also create your own color combinations.
Made in Lapua, Finland
Even though our carpets are handcrafted and made to custom lengths, we can always deliver them within the standard lead time. Our process and local production are finely tuned.
Paper, our core
See how paper is transformed into a carpet.
For every style
Woodnotes carpets and curtains suit a wide range of interiors. They create a harmonious and calming backdrop, letting people take center stage.
Light curtains
Our curtains beautifully diffuse light, letting it filter into the room — like sunlight through a tree canopy or clouds on a clear day.
Finnish expertise
We have collaborated with Ojala’s weaving mill for nearly 40 years. Today, we also have our own sewing and spinning workshop, and all of our production is based in Lapua.
How does paper become a carpet?
First, the paper yarn is spun, and then part of it is dyed. The carpets are woven and sent to the sewing workshop, where they are cut to size and finished.
